CHEERLEADERS AND PARENTS – Please review the items below and calendar each so you don’t forget what is coming up. Coach Smith, our Booster Board and our Team Moms are here to make your Cheerleaders’ experience wonderful, but we expect our Cheerleaders and parents to be responsible for also following up with their activities.
Golf Tournament May 20, 2012:
· We need to have golf tournament golfers/tee sponsorship forms and money no later than this Friday May 11th at 4:00 p.m.
· If you do not have golfers that will be participating, please provide a check in the amount of $190.00 payable to La Quinta Cheer Booster Club
· In addition you must to have your 2 (two) raffle items also no later than this Friday, May 11th at 4:00 p.m.
· All the above items can be turn into your Team Mom, left at the front office of La Quinta high addressed to Coach Smith (make sure your cheerleader’s name is on all items), President Tonya Carnevale, Treasurers Tatiana Hinkle or Debbie McNicol
· All girls are required to attend the entire golf tournament on May 20th in the afternoon. Time will be provided in the near future
· The Booster Board will need parent help at the golf tournament, please let your Team Mom know if you can help out.
· CHEERLEADERS – Returners wear complete uniform w/ shoes (no Toms); JV returners please put your name in your jerseys and take to Coach Smith. We would like for the new girls to wear navy shorts/skort and the jerseys with white tennis shoes. New cheerleaders, make sure to wash and return the jerseys to Coach Smith after tournament
Physicals:
· LQ will hold physicals on May 16 and May 23, or you may take your Cheerleader to your personal physician
· There are many Cheerleaders who have not picked up the physical forms from Coach Smith, please do so ASAP
· The cost for the LQ physicals is $25 at time of physical
· If you attend the LQ physical, you can turn in there. If going to personal physician, give to Coach Armstrong
· Your Cheerleader will not be able to practice without the physical and should be complete
· The absolute last day to turn in the physical forms is the last day of school, June 7th
Varsity Boxes:
· Varsity Cheerleader – On Wednesday, May 30th at 3:00 p.m. we will be repairing and touching up your Varsity Boxes
· This is mandatory for Varsity Cheerleaders
· The paint and wheels will be provided but we need some parents to help. Parents let us know if you can volunteer to help your Cheerleaders, especially Dad’s that can change out wheels and lift them into trucks
· The Booster Board will be providing pizza and drinks for all and Cheerleaders will earn merits if your parents help out
· We also need Parents to deliver the boxes to Hawks Design in Indio, please let us know if you can help out
Uniforms:
· Uniforms fittings/orders will be May 30, 2012, you should have received your schedule time
· Remember if you would like to exchange or purchase a used uniform, please contact Tonya
· We will also have information where you can purchase Toms at a discount
· Varsity Lettered Cheerleaders – we are hoping to have the Varsity Sweater/Cardigan to view and order
· The Booster Treasurer will be at fitting to transfer funds in accounts to purchase uniforms
· Don’t forget you need to purchase separately the shorts and skort requested by Coach Smith.
Camp:
· Camp is July 30th to August 2nd. Please calendar
· Balances for camp are due the first week of June
